Biological Reporting

We offer full service vegetation, tree, and bird surveys. These surveys come in the form of point counts, transect, and inventory. Surveys can be a one-time product or an ongoing monitoring effort. One example of an ongoing effort is detailed below.

Long-Term Monitoring
with Augustana College

Our work describes the woodland plant communities found at
the client's field station and captures baseline vegetation data prior to and during restoration efforts. These data help us gain a deeper understanding of oak woodland mesophication and shed light on how
management affects influence herbaceous vegetation at the field station.

Why is this Important?

Measuring success of an ecological project can be difficult. Monitoring allows ecologists and land managers to track the presence, abundance, and distribution of species. This data helps identify species at risk or those that are thriving, allowing for targeted conservation efforts. Conserving biodiversity is essential for maintaining healthy ecosystems and ecosystem services.
